Start your WISP, Muni, or WiMAX wireless career with
Ask-Wi.Com's very own vendor-neutral Handbook

(Yes; our book is really, really vendor-neutral even though it's published by Cisco Press)

Deploying License-Free Wireless
Wide-Area Networks

Our Goals at Ask-Wi.Com

1. To provide wireless ISPs, communities, businesses, and individuals the guidance, the training, and the technical support they need to successfully design, build and operate license-free outdoor broadband WISP, WiMAX, or Muni wireless networks.

2. To provide our unique, leading-edge wireless services in an unbiased, vendor-neutral fashion. (This includes having no paid advertising on our website).

3. To be a responsible corporate citizen and to demonstrate that we take seriously our responsibility to our customers, our employees, our community, and our planet.

Client States and Provinces

Since 1993, we've proudly served approximately 2000 clients across the North American continent. As of December 2006, we have traveled to and completed work for clients in the colored states and provinces.

Client States and Provinces

In the blue states and provinces we worked for a single client. In the purple states and provinces we've worked for multiple clients. We have not yet worked for clients in white states or provinces.

Completed Projects

Here are just a few examples of the wireless projects that we have designed, installed, supported and/or delivered for our clients. You won't find our level of knowledge, experience and insight anywhere else. From the field to the training room to the boardroom, what would you like us to do for you?

  • Performed wireless and physical site surveys at hundreds of locations (1993-2008)

  • Performed wireless coverage studies, path studies, and network buildouts for wireless service providers (1993-2008)

  • Diagnosed numerous outdoor wireless WAN performance issues and made recommendations that restored reliable, high-throughput operation (1995-2008)

  • Performed pre-purchase audits of WISPs that were merger and acquisition candidates (2003)

  • Presented expert witness testimony in court cases during a WISP vs. WISP interference disputes (2004 and 2007)
